Both Softball & Girls Basketball Camps
In the morning, join the Statesmen softball coaches and guest instructors this summer for a 4 day camp covering all of the basics of fundamental fastpitch softball. Campers will learn drills and play the same games the Statesmen use in practice while receiving plenty of small group and age appropriate instruction. Campers will be grouped by ability, age, and safety considerations so all have a chance to be challenged.
This year, camp will be held on the brand new turf softball/baseball field at Webster Groves High School. Please be sure to wear flat tennis shoes or turf shoes and not spikes/cleats.
Campers should bring bats, gloves, batting gloves (if desired), and wear sweat pants or softball pants (for sliding). Campers should also bring a lunch to eat between the softball and basketball sessions and campers will have an opportunity to change clothes before the basketball portion starts.
In the afternoon the girls basketball staff is excited to work with each player to improve their basketball skills while providing a fun and energetic atmosphere. Players will be coached on fundamentals such as ball handling, shooting, defense (and more) by the WG Varsity coaching staff as well as interacting with the high school players.
Players will need to bring tennis or basketball shoes, athletic clothes, and a water bottle. Please make sure you label everything with your players name so items won’t get lost.
